We have another amazing Olds here at the shop! This is a Mendez model, and boy can it play!
This horn has a nice crisp and clean sound to it. It has a 1st slide trigger and 3rd slide trigger.
There is some lacquer wear, especially at the contact points and along the left hand side of the bell.
This horn plays well and the valves have good compression with tons of pop.
There's some redrot developing in the mouthpipe (see the pictures) but we have priced this great sounding horn accordingly. We could do a raw-brass replacement for $200 additional (email us for more specifics)
I just love the crispness of this horn!
The valve block, and other elements including the bracing add to the look of this awesome horn.
We tend not to see a lot of these, so be sure to pick it up quickly!
