Adams A9 Selected Series Trumpet - Based on the Martin Committee!
Many of our clients have asked us to take the classic design concept of the Martin trumpets of the mid-20th century and create a trumpet with better intonation, improved slotting, and a broader sound color palette. After extensive prototype work, we are proud to offer the Adams A9: a trumpet that builds on tradition, with the legendary quality and exceptional playability you expect from an Adams trumpet. The A9 comes in two bore options, a .453" (11.51 mm) Medium bore and a .468" (11.89 mm) Large bore. The horn for sale here is the large bore!

Adams A9 Large Bore
Man, I can't say enough about this horn. I've been on a perfect Committee hunt for quite sometime, and after not really finding what I was after I decided to give the Adams a go. Not only does it have all the qualities I dig about the Committee, in my opinion it surpasses it in many ways. For one, the intonation is much much improved. The evenness of the blow is also much better. While it plays like a much more modern horn, the deep, opaque tone is still there. I wasn't sure about the copper lacquer at first, but after getting it in my hands I have to say that it is really quite stunning. the inlays on the finger buttons are also beautiful and add to the classy look. Valves are simply fantastic, and all the other details you would want in a Committee are there. I'm glad that I went with the large bore. It really doesn't feel overly big, I can play way up high very easily. Cheers to the crew at ACB for taking care of my order. I can't put it down!
