Spring 2020 Photo Updates!
Posted by Patrick on 31st Mar 2020
Hi everyone!
I've been taking a ton of photos recently at ACB, updating our listings of horns for sale and adding visual elements to our "Build Your Own" pages when we get custom horns from Adams and Schagerl. We thought it would be fun to share a gallery of some cool instruments to get your creative juices flowing! Click on the titles to check out more photos on the listings.
Custom Adams F4 Flugelhorn: Gold Brass Bell with Nickel Silver Flare in Antique Lacquer!
This is a completely custom F4 that we have in the shop right now. Usually you'd be be waiting in line for a while due to the high demand for custom instruments from Adams, so we're always glad to have a new custom horn like this available.
Schagerl Ganschhorn Light Trumpet in Polished Light Vintage Lacquer
This is probably the most gorgeous Ganschhorn to ever come through the shop! Typically the vintage finish Ganschhorns have a matte finish (also a great look, of course). The shininess of this polished version just looks so good.
Adams Selected Series A1 Trumpet (Gen II)
You've probably seen Trent and Kyle playing the redesigned Adams A1 trumpet on our video clips. Trent spent some time at the Adams factory in 2019 helping with the redesign, and the results are this fantastic trumpet. The bell bow and tuning slide curves are different from the other Adams trumpets, and it comes standard with a Saturn water key and the satin lacquer. Look good, sound good.
We have an Olds Clark Terry model trumpet available right now. This is a pretty rare trumpet. This medallion is on the brace, it's a great design detail that sets this horn apart. The other place you'll see it in the shop is on Trent's Clark Terry flugelhorn, but that's not for sale. Sorry.
Adams Selected Series A9 Trumpet Large Bore in Copper Lacquer
The Adams A9 is based off of the highly sought after, but somewhat hard to come by, Martin Committee trumpet. This detail photo from our Selected Series A9 listing shows off several of the design elements that Adams copied over: the side-mounted adjustable third valve ring, the trombone style water keys, and the square Z braces. Check out the listing for even more photos of the details on this trumpet!
Best Brass Warm-Up Nano Practice Accessory
I'm working on capturing details and mastering depth of field, because it really helps focus the eye on a particular spot in a photo. We try to have the best, most true-to-life photos we can on our listings so that you can see what you'll be getting when you order. This is one of the smallest items that we sell, the Best Brass Nano. It's an accessory that turns your harmon mute into a practice mute. Great for travel, apartment living, or warming up before your gig.
Custom Bach Strad with 37 and 43B Bells!
Obviously couldn't photograph this trumpet with both bells on at the same time, so... This is actually a great trumpet! It has a Blackburn leadpipe and two different bell options for an easy change in the sound (the 43B is made of bronze, it's the standard bell for a Bach Mariachi trumpet). This is a unique sounding horn that will still blend with the section.
CarolBrass Balanced 8060H with Sterling Silver Leadpipe
Balanced action trumpets were a mid century design concept (Olds Recording, Selmer Balanced) so this trumpet has a bit of a retro vibe. Just note that the valve block is much farther from your face than you're used to, and bring the horn up slowly!
Entry Level Bundle: 2RL in Satin or Silver, with Great Accessories!
We're always looking for ways to add value for our customers, so we've started offering some bundle deals through our web store. This one only comes with one trumpet (most of us only play one at a time anyway) but it also includes a mouthpiece, mute, stand, and cleaning kit. This is a great startup kit for a student or comeback player. This side-by-side photo shows the different finishes we have for our ACB 2RL (you can also get either one as a stand-alone product). We have a bunch of other bundle as well, designed for a wide variety of players. Check them all out!
Alright, that's all for today, but make sure you browse around on our web store to see some more great instruments!
