This horn is in very good condition but does present some signs of use.
The bell is a 239 C trumpet bell, most people would prefer to use this in place of a C trumpet in an orchestral setting and probably less in solo/chamber. It sounds and plays and projects a lot like a C trumpet just slightly brighter as well in my experience.
There’s some intonation quarks like all Bach trumpets, but any common alternate fingers can correct it just fine. It does well with short shank backbores like Pickett brass/monette style to the point you don’t need alternate fingerInca.
- A few small pings on the bell stem and flare
- Some minor scratching around the horn body
- Minor spot of plate wear on 1st valve casing
- Valve action is fantastic and compression is perfect
- Slides move freely and smoothly
- Comes with extra "D" slide set
Comes with NO case or Mouthpiece
