Great Playing B&S Challenger 3172/2 Trumpet in Silver Plate
The B&S Challenger is an Awesome Choice for a Student or Comeback Player Seeking Great Sounding Trumpet
If you're looking for a trumpet that will blend perfectly with a section of Bachs, but at a more affordable price point, the B&S Challenger 3172/2 might be the horn for you. This pre-owned trumpet is in a beautiful silver plate. The sliver on this horn is still in really great shape, with only a couple small blemishes, notably on the valve block where the left hand rests. There is also some very minor scratching, but this is hardly noticeable from more than 2 feet away! This silver-plated, professional Bb trumpet, has a dark sound that's suitable for solo and orchestral use. It has a 0.459 in bore, a 4.921 in "standard" bell, and a reverse leadpipe. The 3172/2 Challenger II is made in Markneukirchen, Germany, and is considered to be of German quality and craftsmanship.
This horn has a nice, crisp sound and easy response. It is 100% German made, with a one-piece hand-hammered bell. This trumpet is an excellent value for the price and would be a great option if you're looking to upgrade from a student rental horn or need a backup professional trumpet.
