Introducing the newest generation of trumpets from the Kansas City Trumpet Company, the Excalibur Trumpet! This new model features a new leadpipe design, new tuning slide crook, and new bell bend. It is a great all-around trumpet, but it leans more towards the jazz/commercial end of things.
Features:
- Elliptical tuning slide and bell bend
- Wide "Connstellation" style wrap
- Meinlschmidt MAW valve block
- KCTC mouthpipe receiver (see description below)
- Nickel silver Z braces
- One piece, side seamed, yellow brass bell with French bead and a 5 1/4" end diameter. KCTC 'Standard' mandrel
- .460" bore
- Amado waterkey
This horn is open blowing, and has huge note targets! The French bead provides wonderful feedback to the player. Like other KCTC models, this one features the KCTC mouthpiece receiver, which acts almost in the same manner as an intergral mouthpiece. It is longer towards the player, and as a result it will not fit certain brands of mouthpieces (including but not limited to GR, Monette, AR Resonance). The design of this instrument combines old and new! Wider 'Connstellation' style wrap, Callichio/Benge style nickel silver Z braces, elliptical bell bend and tuning slide crook. And of course, it features the amazing MAW valve block! This makes the space between notes so fluent and connected! Try it for yourself!
