Check out this cool vintage Conn 25A Flugelhorn that's recently arrived!
The Conn 25A Flugelhorn was a stencil made by Wilson (which primarily specialized in low brass) in Switzerland. These are some great playing horns; the sound has been characterized as being similar to a french couesenon. This instrument would be perfect for a student or a beginning player looking to start their flugelhorn journey.
This horn has been played actively and does present some signs of use. There is some denting around the bell of this horn notably on the bend, towards the valve block, and on the second valve slide. There is also a dent towards the lyre holder. and small dent in the bell flare. There is some scratching around the body of this horn notably on the bell, bell flare, and 3rd valve slide. There is also some lacquer loss particularly around the bell and on the leadpipe receiver. Beyond these cosmetic blemishes, this is still a fantastic sounding and playing horn with tons of life left in it! The valve compression is great on this horn (measuring less than a 1 on the mag!) and they move smoothly with great action. The slides all move smoothly on this instrument as well. Don't miss out on this great vintage flugelhorn!
