This horn comes to us on consignment and is a great addition to our Adams offerings. The instrument is in great shape but does present a few signs of use. There are a few very light surface scratches in the finish of this horn and a dent in the bottom bell bend near the crook. Beyond this it is in excellent shape and plays even better! The valve action is great and the slides move freely. Don't miss out on this great horn!
The Adams A2 is an exceptionally versatile trumpet that will take you everywhere you need to go —

The A2 was designed and developed in collaboration with some of the UK’s leading orchestral Bb trumpet players, then tested throughout Europe and the US. It’s the ideal Adams trumpet for non-amplified classical playing, with a room-filling sound and great player feedback behind the horn.

The A2 has a distinctive sound that will still blend well with the section, and easy responsiveness at all dynamic levels. Along with its secure, centered slotting, the responsive nature of the horn translates into great agility and fluidity of sound on faster lines.

- ML (11.7ml) .460 bore
- One piece bell in yellow brass
- .50 bell thickness
- Silver plated
- Longer valve block than other Adams models (feels great in the hands)
- Double tuning slide bracing

The A2 has a fairly focused sound shape, with a bit more dispersion than A10 but not as much as A4LT or A4. It feels a bit more open than the A10, but has more resistance than the A7. A mouthpiece is not included with the A2, because you’ll want one (or several) that’s dialed in for your specific situation. We have a huge range of options in our ACB Standard Series.
The A2 has Bauerfeind valves, arguably some of the best valves in the world (Bauerfeind is owned by Adams). The A2 valve block was designed specifically for this trumpet. It feels great in your hands!
The bell of the A2 Selected Series is a one-piece yellow brass bell with a .50 gauge, a flat bead, and a flare taper designed for both great projection and exceptional feedback behind the horn.
