Pre-Owned Vintage Late 1970s LA Benge 3X MLP Trumpet in Silver Plate
The LA Benge 3X MLP Trumpet Serial Number post 10,000!
Here we have an LA Benge 3X MLP bore trumpet that is in great shape! These horns are great players, the serial number puts this horn probably around the late 70s part of the Los Angeles period of production, a period known for its quality and craftsmanship. They tend to have a more open and free blowing feel than the ML model with a full and large sound. The MLP is a large bore instrument measuring at .464
This horn is an excellent player but does show some signs of use. It has slight early signs of redrot in the lead pipe (Common to Benge trumpets) It has some finish wear, mostly some scratching around the horn body. Notably on the leadpipe, bell flare, and bell stem. There is some denting on the bell flare, bell stem, and bell crook. It's also missing its 3rd slide pull knob This instrument has slight plating loss on the finger buttons but not on the body and the compression is very good! The 3X bell is known for its flexible and focused sound. It fits great in the studio or in the hall!
