Yamaha YEP-642s Gen II Euphonium

yep-x4.png

Check out this fantastic playing Yamaha Neo YEP-642s Gen II Euphonium that's just arrived in the shop!

This is a pre-owned euphonium and shows signs that this instrument was owned by an active player. You can see some scratches, small scuffs, and some slight tarnish in spots (we tried to show as much of these as possible through the photos in the listing but please contact us if you have any questions.). There is one small dent in the horn located on the right side (if you are the player holding the instrument) to the right of the handrest on the main body (you can see it in the photos).

The valves are smooth and easy to play. The euphonium has a rich, full-bodied tone. These normally sell for close to $7800 new (in silver plate) so this pre-owned price is a nice opportunity to get an excellent euphonium for a discount. This would be an ideal euphonium for any student seeking their first professional level euphonium or a trombonist/tubist who needs a quality playing euphonium as a second instrument for professional work.

This instrument comes with a Denis Wick Steven Mead SM4 gold-plated mouthpiece.

Please give us a call at 816-410-0826, or email info@austincustombrass.com, if you have any questions or you can schedule an appointment to come try this instrument by clicking "appointment"

From Yamaha:

"Working together with world-renowned brass band conductor Bill Millar, our technical staff started with a clean slate creating numerous euphonium prototypes, redesigning each part and component until all agreed that the ideal brass band sound that we were seeking had been attained. This new euphonium delivers a tone that blends well with baritone and tenor horns. Powerful with excellent projection, it produces the tone color that soloists require in an instrument.
