A 3 digit Bach trumpet? Yes, you heard right! This horn was manufactured during the first few years of Vincent Bach's history. It has been completely overhauled at some point in it's life (including new plating and a piston rebuild). There is some minor plating wear, but overall the silver looks quite good. There are a number of protective patches throughout the instrument (1st slide crook, bell tail, valve block knuckle, 3rd slide outer tube, bell rim). Here is your chance to own a playable piece of Bach's history!
Features:
T bell (most likely)
ML bore (rare for a horn of this era)
Valve rebuild
Replated

This instrument came from the personal collection of celebrated trumpeter David Kuehn. His collection is being auctioned to benefit an endowment that will support the ‘Midwest Trumpet Festival’ . Each year, under the direction of Dr. Todd J. Hastings, the Midwest Trumpet Festival's mission is to gather leading performers, educators, students, and community for an intensive time of large and small continuing education sessions, master classes, recitals, and concerts.
The Midwest Trumpet Festival has exposed the midwest trumpet community to the likes of famed trumpeters such as Vince DiMartino, Allen Vizzutti, Wayne Bergeron, Claudio Roditi, Bobby Shew, David Hickman, Joe Burgstaller, Ryan Anthony, Lonnie McFadden, Trent Austin, and SO many more over the years.
The proceeds of this auction will directly benefit the trust that was put in place to support the Midwest Trumpet Festival, and will help to memorialize David Kuehn’s contribution to the trumpet community.
