This trombone is in like-new condition and is on consignment through Austin Custom Brass. This Conn 88HTCL has a beautiful sound that is warm and has a rich resonant tone with quick response and excellent clarity. This is an ideal trombone for the soloist or the ensemble player.

The Conn 88H has long been a go-to trombone for serious musicians of all stages! It has a storied history in the trombone world and the 88HTCL Symphonic Series is the next step in the development of the 88H Series by offering an open wrap design for a free blowing attachment with less resistance that the standard 88H plus a CL2000 Christian Lindberg rotor. The Lindberg rotor is smooth with a nice, compact, throw that makes it easy to play. The classic “Elkhart” 88H of the mid-20th century are echoed in the 88HTCL “thin-wall” (Elkhart style) bell design.

Rose brass, sometimes also called "red brass", known for its warmer articulation and depth of tone. It is called “rose” because of color of the bell which comes from a higher copper content than yellow brass. The bell's thin design helps you achieve deep sound with clean articulation and the sound has a tone-color that is reminiscent of the classic Elkhart-era Conn 88h of the mid-20th century.

The CL2000" valve designed by renowned solo trombone artist Christian Lindberg. The Conn 88HTCL has a 0.547-inch primary bore that widens to an expansive 0.562-inch diameter once you engage the patented CL2000 rotary system F attachment. The unique design is extremely efficient, smooth, and quick and removes any resistance normally found in a traditional rotor valve
