The ACB Doubler’s line is made by a great factory that we work with in China. The Doubler’s instruments are built to our specifications, then optimized here at our Kansas City shop before we ship them to you. The Doubler’s flugelhorn is designed to make it easy to switch between flugel and your trumpet or cornet.
We went with a 6-inch diameter bell, copper bell bow, and a classic .413-inch bore. The result is a flugel with great slotting and good intonation, and a sound our customers describe as fat, mellow, smoky, smooth, and warm.
We align the valves on every Doubler’s flugel prior to shipment with durable synthetic pads. We also do a full ultrasonic cleaning, adjust the springs, and perform several other optimizations. Finally, each horn is play-tested to make sure that when you open the box, your new flugel is ready to go.

Doubler’s flugel
Great horn, and not just “great considering what it costs.” I have to think the tweaks that the guys in the shop do to these flugels before shipping them to customers makes a very big difference in how they play. For someone like myself, who uses a flugel on maybe 30% of gigs, the doubler is an especially great choice. Plus, you will not find better people to deal with than Trent, Josh and Kyle and the guys! GREAT company, great products....what else could you ask for?

I'm very pleased. This is a lot of horn for the money. Fit and finish is good. It sounds good and has good intonation. I'm a hobbiest who has been playing about 2 years. I also played for 10 years as a youth.

ACB Doubler's Flugelhorn
I am really enjoying this horn. It's easy to play, has great intonation, is very versatile from low to high ranges, and is great-looking. I suppose I am the ideal customer for this horn: haven't owned a flugelhorn before, always wanted one, seeking a rich sound but not an expensive intimidating horn. This fits the bill perfectly. I would be leery of a bargain-priced horn from elsewhere, but ACB's products have always been top-notch. This is no different. I paired it with a Fab 5 mouthpiece, a perfect match, since I already play the same rim size in my 3CS trumpet mpc.

Purchase of doublers flugelhorn
The personal attention and customer service is excellent. I loved getting the email of Trent playing “my horn”. The people at ACB go above and beyond. The satin finish was much nicer in person than in the picture. I am very satisfied with my horn and with ACB. Fantastic Flugelhorn
I'm very impressed with this flugel. Coupled with a good mouthpiece, the Doublers flugel glides wonderfully through all registers, and intonation is really good! And the sound!! If you want to play piercing and bright or dark and fluffy, it can do it! Also, you CAN NOT beat the price. Bravo ACB!

This is my first personally owned flugelhorn, and I'm really liking this horn so far. It's satin finish compliments the sound it produces when I play it. I like the case it came with, and I like how it came with a mouthpiece. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Awesome Flugel Awesome Service!
Just want to say I have had this ACB Doublers Flugelhorn for about a week now (Silver Plate) and I absolutely love it and have had some crazy fun playing with it. My wife has commented on how pretty the sound is, she prefers the tone to my trumpet. The instrument is just awesome, all the reviews out there talking about how great of a horn out there it is are absolutely right. Super pleased about going ahead with the purchase. In addition I was so impressed with the overall experience purchasing from the shop, ACB staff was awesome and the whole experience was just awesome! These guys are now my go to brass shop!

Nice and mellow
This is my first flugelhorn. I've played trumpet for 50 years and never owned a flugel although I've often thought about one. For the price I've found this to be an outstanding horn. You're getting a lot of flugel while being frugal.
