Adams A4-LT Custom Series Trumpet in Satin Lacquer

The A4-LT is an ideal choice for the soloist looking for an extremely rich, warm, and fluid sounding horn. It's one of the most popular models in the Adams trumpet line! This horn is a result of extensive collaborative work with Adams Performing Artist Amik Guerra. Featuring a 5 inch one-piece bell and a heavy chassis with light weight bracing, this horn is one of the heavier Adams designs but not has heavy as the A4. One of the things we stress about this instrument is the fact it will work in many different musical environments due to wonderful coloring and richness of the sound. The lighter trim and bracing gives this horn a little more flexibility and agility than the A4. While most people order this horn in the larger .470 (12mm) bore this one is a .460 (11.7mm) bore instrument on request for clients.

"I just received the Adams A4LT from ACB. As usual, customer service from Trent, Josh and Kyle (and I’m probably leaving someone out, sorry guys!) was absolutely great. So here’s a quick review of the horn: Build quality is exceptional, it just feels very solid, soldering looks very well done, slide fit seems exceptionally good, valves are light and quick, even in their brand-new state. This is a somewhat heavier horn than what I am accustomed to, certainly heavier than my Benge on the other end of the spectrum, but not really “Monette-Anja-heavy.” Used it on my first gig (12 piece funk/soul/rock band) yesterday, at a club we have played MANY times, and is known for having big, loud and raucous crowds. (In other words, “pianissimo” is not exactly an average volume level for us there)! This horn PROJECTS. But on quieter passages it “speaks” distinctly. We are miked, but I can safely say that this horn has a big sound without being too spread or unfocused. VERY centered, slots are solid but still very flexible. It’s not uncommon to have a “honeymoon period” with a new horn, but I believe the great results I’ve had in this early stage are more than that. Great horn, and ACB is a great dealer! I’ve done business with them for years, will continue to do so!"

The "LT" denotes that this horn features a Lightweight valve cluster, making the horn more agile and flexible.

This bell is an excellent mix of materials for all round work as this material is very versatile. The sound is clear and brilliant at all dynamic levels, with a good core and great projection. This alloy is ideal for lead trumpet, commercial playing and studio work. Also a good choice for principal trumpet players in symphony orchestras or someone who is looking for good crispness to the articulated sound.
