Adams A4LT Bb Trumpet - Impressive Versatility!
The A4-LT is one of the most popular models in the Adams trumpet line. This horn is a result of extensive collaborative work with Adams Performing Artist Amik Guerra. This is one of the heavier Adams trumpets, featuring a 5 inch one-piece bell and a heavy chassis with lightweight bracing. This horn is an ideal choice for the soloist looking for an extremely rich, warm, and fluid sounding horn. One of the things we stress about this instrument is its versatility: the A4-LT is a great fit for many different musical environments due to the wonderful colors and richness of the sound. As with all Adams trumpets, the build quality is excellent. The Adams valves especially are some of the best in the world. This Selected Series horn has a large bore, a yellow brass bell, and is finished in a beautiful satin gold lacquer!
The "LT" denotes that this horn features a Lightweight valve cluster, making the horn a bit more agile and flexible than its sibling, the Adams A4.
But you don't have to take our word for it! Here's a review from our customer Brad N on 9/26/20:
"I just received the Adams A4LT from ACB. As usual, customer service from Trent, Josh and Kyle (and I’m probably leaving someone out, sorry guys!) was absolutely great. So here’s a quick review of the horn: Build quality is exceptional, it just feels very solid, soldering looks very well done, slide fit seems exceptionally good, valves are light and quick, even in their brand-new state. This is a somewhat heavier horn than what I am accustomed to, certainly heavier than my Benge on the other end of the spectrum, but not really “Monette-Anja-heavy.” Used it on my first gig (12 piece funk/soul/rock band) yesterday, at a club we have played MANY times, and is known for having big, loud and raucous crowds. (In other words, “pianissimo” is not exactly an average volume level for us there)! This horn PROJECTS. But on quieter passages it “speaks” distinctly. We are miked, but I can safely say that this horn has a big sound without being too spread or unfocused. VERY centered, slots are solid but still very flexible. It’s not uncommon to have a “honeymoon period” with a new horn, but I believe the great results I’ve had in this early stage are more than that. Great horn, and ACB is a great dealer! I’ve done business with them for years, will continue to do so!"

Unbelievably good
After a very helpful discussion with Josh I purchased the A4LT. I loved the look of it and I was after a large bore - but lighter - horn. It took a couple of weeks to make its way around the globe to me, but arrived safe and sound. To say that I am delighted with this horn would be a massive understatement! The craftsmanship is impeccable and it looks better in real life than in the photos. The satin laquer is eye-catching and the rose brass finish on the valve cases is a stylish touch. It's light and balanced and feels lovely to hold. My other horns are ML bore, and the first thing I noticed on this was the easier blow. My upper register is more open and it has a wide expressive range. The case (Gard) is really nice too. I'd rate it 6 stars if I could.

Adams A4LT
In trying to find a horn that I would use for the rest of my life, both for big band and combo playing, (and occasionally in whatever else I’m playing in), I spoke with both Laura and Josh about a few horns that I was looking at. I told them my preferences, (a mellow, dark horn that was still very versatile), and they helped me narrow it down to the Adams A4LT! It shipped faster than expected (packaged really nicely) and they also gave me a great thanksgiving deal! Taking the horn out of the case, it is just stunning. The fit and finish and attention to detail on the part of Adams is absolutely fantastic, and the valves are the best I’ve ever played! It has a very free, open blow that is really dark, but still very easy to light up partly because of that yellow brass bell and lighter trim. It is very mouthpiece sensitive, and can go from very dark and creamy to brilliant and “zingy” just from your mouthpiece choice! I love the weight of this horn, and coming from a lighter horn it is maybe slightly heavier than a Bach 37, but there is no noticeable difference after long gigs. So if you are looking for a beautiful, eye catching horn that is really creamy and dark sounding overall, but also incredibly versatile, easy, and fun to play, and of incredible quality in basically every way, look no further than the Adams A4LT selected! Upon purchasing the horn they filmed a video of it being played before being sent off, and included a very kind handwritten note! Thanks to everyone at ACB for their stellar customer service, helpful and knowledgeable staff, and for supplying me with this fantastic horn!

Adams A4LT
I cannot say enough good things about the service, expertise, and willingness to help at ACB. Josh is the best and helped me pick out my new Adams A4LT. Oh, man...this horn does it all! I can get whatever sound out of it I want dependent on the mouthpiece (ACB pieces, or course!), and it just sings. Thanks Josh, Trent, and all of the guys at Austin Custom Brass!

Great horn
I bought this horn and right from the get go, the whole process was very helpful, and I had all my questions answered. Kyle was great in getting me setup with my new horn. He even stayed late to get my payment processed. I played my first gig with the horn tonight. Just loved it. I hadn’t played in a few weeks, so I was wondering how it was going to go with a bigger bore horn than I was used to. No problems at all, it sounded great. The nice thing was that I didn’t have to play hard to sound big, which helped my chops during the night. Even the other trumpet player in the band was really impressed with how the horn plays. I love the horn and I know I will love it even more when I get a chance to really become acclimated to it. Thank ACB for helping me get a great horn.

Adams A4 Lt
This is one beautiful horn. The material / workmanship make this instrument a joy to play. I play on an Austin MV3C and the overall sound is dark and smooth but it is the sound I wanted. The additional $$’s for this horn were well spent. It slots well in all registers and the overall resonance of the horn is fantastic at all dynamic levels
