We are very excited to offer The Courtois 402 Xtreme Trombone! This is an AMAZING trombone for the jazz soloist!
This is a truly remarkable trombone for the jazz musician seeking an instrument that has a rich, complex, and engaging tone, combined with great clarity and projection. The 402 Xtreme has a comfortable resistance and is easy to connect with. The tone stays full in all registers (unlike some small bore trombones where the lower register can feel compact and small). The red brass gives the tone a wonderful lift and ring to it in the upper register and an incredible lush warmth in the medium to lower register. The trombone is very well balanced and comfortable to hold - the ergonomic grip on the slide is a wonderful design feature.
If you are seeking a rich jazz tone (ala JJ Johnson, Slide Hampton, Steve Davis, Delfeayo Marsalis) this is a wonderful choice! This trombone can play it all from a trad-jazz, to a sweet ballad, to something funky, to quick-post-bop/modern jazz!
The 402 Xtreme is played by professionals world wide including jazz great Delfeayo Marsalis.
