This is Trent’s personal AR Resonance Romantica trumpet in raw brass (with slight patina).

ROMANTICA
Smooth as silk with a vintage sound
You like the sound vintage horns but you don't want to deal with the inconsistencies in intonation, compression issues and you want to use modern mouthpieces that can fix the gap problem once and for all?
Romantica is a light horn based on a bronze bell shaped like the Olds from the past.
The feel is tighter than on our other trumpets, more focused than Suprema and Estrema, with a quick response and a dark and smokey sound.
The leadpipe is lighter than usual and the bell stem has an additional gap that helps with the feel of precision. This is the only trumpet we make that has a wire inside the bell rim for a more focused sound.
This one is a true masterpiece. Antonio’s fine instruments are beyond category and this Romantica is quite special.
You might see some modifications which were done to improve the horns performance. My friend and wonderful tech Colin Davidson replaced the tuning slide tubes (with MK drawing tubes) as the original ones were a bit leaky. He also replaced the waterkeys with OEM Saturn ones which IMO are the best in the marketplace.
The original serial # and model number were on the old tubes So Colin added those IMHO very creatively. He then applied a very lite acid patina to the horn (which can be removed back to raw if you like).
The trumpet is an absolute beast and comes with all 5 threaded receivers, a one-piece integrated mouthpiece, two threaded backbores (ar 9 40 in brass Gap 2 setting and a 40M G2), and a stainless steel MC 38 (3C equivalent) top. In terms of the one-piece setup It’s an MLC40 with a 1 or 2 gap, can’t remember exactly which setting it is.
This horn has perfect compression, no dents or dings, but has been played.
The Romantica to me feels like a cross between a Martin Committee and an Olds Super Recording. The Bronze bell sounds ridiculously good. With a smaller gap the horn feels like the Olds…punchy, brilliant, and full. With a large Gap it’s creamy, funky, thick, and malleable.
Now with the new tariffs from the EU this horn will cost you $9400 without the additional mouthpieces.
