Antoine Courtois Evolution II Trumpet
The Courtois Evolution II is a heavyweight trumpet with a unique Bell over Bell design. This is a heavy trumpet, but doesn't play nearly as dark as the weight and design of the horn would lead one to believe. The Bell over Bell design helps give this horn very good projection. This horn had some cool features although sadly it is no longer in production. The adjustable gap regulator on the mouthpiece receiver allows you to dial in the desired slotting and blow resistance! This horn would be right at home in Jazz or Big Band setting, and with the right mouthpiece, even a concert band setting.
This horn comes to us on consignment and it is in fantastic condition. There is some cosmetic wear in the finish, notably some lacquer wear on the valve block and a few light scratches on the bell stem and gap receiver. Beyond this, it is in excellent looking and playing condition. the valves move smoothly with great compression and slides move freely as well. This horn also comes with additional pearl inlay finger buttons and additional brace. Don't miss out on this monster horn!
