Besson Class A New Creation Cornet

Check out this absolutely beautiful Besson Class A New Creation Bb cornet. The new creation models were popular instruments of their time and are still sought by collectors and vintage instrument lovers today. Part of their uniqueness was an "Invisible" Quick change to the key of A feature, in which the main tuning slide consisted of two-part inner moving slides with a longer thinner and a shorter thicker segment. When the main tuning slide is pulled out, the thicker segment is stopped by rings screwed to the ends of the slide receivers. Fine-tuning is achieved by screwing the rings further in or out. The tuning slide on this horn does not "catch at the end making this feature a bit obsolete on this instrument.

The silver plate is in fantastic condition with only some minor scratching inside the bell flare. The valve compression on this horn is lacking and would generally do better with heavier oil however they will need to be redone at some point. There are no dents on this horn and it is in otherwise great condition. The engraving on this horn is still intact and absolutely stunning Pick up this beautiful piece of history today!
