S.E. Shires Tenor Trombone in Clear Lacquer - PRE-EASTMAN!
This trombone is a pre-Eastman built Shires! This horn is in the 2000's of serial numbers. As you can see it has been well loved. The slide has some small spots of red rot but doesnt leak, it does have a lot of lacquer wear on the slide and braces. the slide crook has small dings. The slide hand braces have heavy pitting from the original owner. The current owner uses leather grips to cover those sections. The MO leadpipe is the only pipe that comes with the horn. Inside of the bell has a lot of lacquer wear and scratches but doesnt effect playability. this horn has
The bell section has a lot of lacquer wear, the main tuning slide and f attachment slides are unlacquered. The rotor moves smooth, there is some acid bleed around the ferrules, some pitting in the neckpipe.
