This pre-owned trombone has been well loved and taken care of. The rotors move freely and accessing the trigger register is a free/easy blow (the rotors do make some noise when playing but nothing that should distract your audience from enjoying your performance). The bell is unlacquered raw brass, while the rest of it is lacquered. Custom thumb trigger on the F attachment. There are scratches along the bracing and lacquer wear spots where you commonly would hold the instrument.
SPECS:
Bell: 2RT 7
#2: Traditional two piece bell made from a separate stem and flare that is brazed together, then spun. Two piece bells tend to have great stability and density to core of sound. Unsoldered bead favors broad, wider, and more diffuse sound and softer, more covered articulations.
R: Red brass—90% Copper, 10% Zinc—warm, rich sound with complex overtones, allows for a wide range of colors at different dynamics
T7: Treatment 7—thinner in the flare—this provides easier response and lighter, less centered sound than the standard bell treatment
Independent Rotor Valves: The S.E. Shires rotary valve is a superior version of the traditional rotary valve design, maintaining the size and shape of the tubing through the valve ports.
