Blow Dry Brass

One of the greatest products I've seen in a long time... this WORKS!

 Here's a recent (11/20/20) review!

Made for musicians by a musician

Everything needed to maintain a clean, pristine instrument & mouthpiece daily resides in this small pouch that easily fits into a gig bag for on the road and everyday practice sessions.

New & Revolutionary

This is NOT a cleaning product, but a drying product to be used on a clean horn once a day after your last session.

BlowDry Brass dries out a CLEAN instrument & mouthpiece after use, thus KEEPING them CLEAN. This maintenance system eliminates the need to continually bathe your instrument, or use traditional brass cleaning products. Works for most small & medium bore instruments & associated mouthpieces (kit good for about 1 year).

How BlowDry Brass works

The isopropyl alcohol drench of the loaded foam BIT causes it to expand to approximately twice its size.  This greatly enhances its pliability to move through the horn & to absorb moisture.  Moisture left in the throat & backbore of a mouthpiece after use is wicked out by the cotton filled ramrod.

Use BlowDry Brass once you have cleaned your horn.

Using BlowDry Brass on a clean horn after playing removes nearly all of the moisture in the tubing & piston ports, thus eliminating the conditions that cause a horn to get dirty. This also eliminates the “Petri dish” environment that an unmaintained horn creates, which allows mold & bacteria build up in your horn. BlowDry Brass maintains a “healthy” horn (Brass Instruments Can Cause Lung Disease & Kids’ musical instruments booming with bacteria)

BlowDry Brass was developed by a brass player for brass players.

Enjoy the benefits of playing a clean horn everyday .  BlowDry Brass keeps your equipment performing to factory specifications.

Refills for this kit are available (10 BITs & 1 ramrod).

    BlowDry Brass

Posted by John McNaul on 21st Jan 2023

It's a product that you would say, "Why didn't I think of that?" I play a flugelhorn seven days a week and I try to clean it every two weeks and it always has horn scum in the valves and tubes. Using BLOWDRY BRASS I found the flugelhorn the cleanest It has ever been. I usually blow the sponge through three times after practice. I had a hard time finding 91% alcohol, but, finally found a large bottle. Thank you ACB and BlowDry Brass for making it easier and a faster cleaning experience. John

    Keeping it clean

This is the BEST cleaning product I have come across for trumpet and wish I had thought of it first! Literally two minutes at the end of the day is all it takes to keep your horn clean. Great product!!

    BlowDry Brass!!!

Just picked up this product a few weeks ago and I'm thoroughly impressed. I've neglected some of my instruments in the past. But, since my first Adams purchase four years ago from ACB, that all changed. Taking care of your instruments maximizes their lifespan, and this simple tool helps do that in between regular cleanings! Great product!!!!

    I'm sold

Posted by James T on 1st Mar 2022

Got this as an add-on with the purchase of two different horns (ACB doubler picc and Adams A4LT), I was skeptical of how it would work and fearful that i'd be wasting my time blowing this through my horn. Three months later and my Adams looks as pristine on the inside as it did on day 1. You wouldn't believe the stuff you blow out of a "clean" horn, especially if you're playing after a meal or some beverages. I was a trumpeter who just scheduled and budgeted for yearly ultrasonic/chem baths for my horns, but this product might make that once every 2-5 years for felts/pad/corks rather than tube gunk and seized valves.

    BlowDry Brass

What a great product! I use this every night after playing my horn all day and it is amazing (and disgusting) how much moisture this cleans out of the horn! I know with confidence that this will keep my horn cleaner than ever, and it is really easy to use! (Way easier and less risky than doing traditional baths as well!). It comes as no surprise that ACB includes this with every instrument purchase, because it is such a great product. Thanks to everyone at ACB for all the work you do!

A nice product, but I still prefer the old fashioned soap and water cleaning. It is good for use after a gig to clean out the leadpipe, and the slides

    Easy product to use!

Posted by Nick Delgado on 5th Nov 2021

I had seen this product be advertised by ACB in the past but wasn't sold on the wonders of it. After purchasing a vintage horn from them, they were kind enough to send me this product along with it. After going on the BlowDry Brass website to learn more and using the product for myself, I have to say this product is amazing!! It is easy to use, a great value for what you get and it let's me sleep well at night knowing that my vintage trumpet is internally clean after ever use.

I would recommend this for any trumpet player that plays on a day to day basis.

    Blowdry Brass

This was a first for me. I had a similar product called 'Spit balls' and I was not really impressed. This product however did give a very good detail of how to use the product. This was the deciding fact that made this product different and better. I have used this on several different instruments, my cornets, my trumpets, and my flugelhorns. It does dry out the excess moisture inside the instrument and makes for a better sounding horn at the next practice. Very impressed.
